I just made the connection: to Rabbit, THIS ^ is what Honeybee is about. Abandoned fairground and the female automaton he met there. And apparently she's still there, though obviously nonfunctional. Her arm is missing; she's falling apart....
Do you mind if I portray an image similar to the bee-like female automaton on the right in a music video I'm working on? The song and concept of the video is greatly inspired by your band and the song "Honeybee" in particular (though I didn't copy you, I promise promise PROMISE!). I'll change the costume, but the robot/doll/character thing I have in my mind would be on a platform VERY similar to the one you've depicted here.
One morning during my travels through Europe I pulled up Youtube and saw that you all had posted a new video; this song. I had just left Germany only a week before, had left Italy that day, and arrived in Budapest, exhausted and happy to be travelling on my own again.
It is with a mind slowly recovering from shifting languages, customs, and in the case of Budapest, currencies, just glad to be in a bed with food in my hands, that I began to listen to this song for the first time.
It has since inspired a whole story, something of a post-apocalyptic world where humans long ceased to exist; all that's left is the automatic systems they left behind to make their dwindling population feel comfortable. The story takes place in a typical massive shopping mall, where something like a cross between "Stepford Wives" and "Wall-E" is taking place, a surreal shadow of what once was.
And so two robots, finally succumbing to decay, with no hope for repair, seek out more "incompatible error sequence"'s like them to update their hard drives on the mystery. To the outsider, with this complication of programming and apparent emotional reactions, would appear to be romance between two slightly dysfunctional teenagers.
Anyways, I thought it was worth noting that your work, while beautiful in every way, with just the right amount of just about everything in it, has always been an inspiration, and this was one that became a coherent thought, and I'm thankful for it.
Also, your composition and shading has vastly improved over such a short time. Call it jealousy! Keep it up Bunny, you're awesome!
I love how your style is changing, I don't know if you realise this or if it's intentional, but the lines are becoming smoother Pretty as always though, that never changes. I love her feet for some reason.
This is amazing!!! I am in love with that video. It was beautifully made and beautifully sang you guys have so much talent and i hope the new guy is working about for you. Keep up the amazing art, songs, and making me smile Bunny Good luck to you all.
