Lucy Costume

Just messing around with ideas for an upcoming project in my theater costuming class. We have to design (not make) costumes for Dracula as if we were going to costume it.

This is Miss Lucy. Better known as the friend of Mina who gets bitten by Dracula and eventually turned into a child-eating demon. She is first seen in the script we're using at an opera of some sort I believe, so I wanted a very showy dress for her. Plus, she has a skewed personality and it does tell a lot about her...The right drawing is the furthest progression of her vampire costume.
Just for the sake of creepiness and being different, she has blue makeup on. In order for the transition to work well though, she would have to have an identical nightgown not soaked in blood, so we can see her start to decline in health and eventually die and become a monster.
The first dress could also be in pieces to allow for some parts to be taken off...like the ruffled overlay and peach overskirt. Something like that...
